Artist Release

By submitting this application form, Applicant acknowledges having read the Lakeville Art Festival (LAF) 2012 Prospectus and Application, and agrees to abide by all rules set forth herein.

1. Applicant/Artist understands and agrees that by submitting this application, s/he consents to, and authorizes the use of any and/or all images of his/her work in promotional literature and/or other promotional endeavors by the LAF, its officers, director and agents. Said images may be used in any fashion at the sole and exclusive discretion of the LAF. Such uses may include but are not limited to: brochures of artists’ work that have been previously displayed or will be displayed, print advertisements, and internet displays.
2. Applicant releases and forever discharges the LAF, City of Lakeville, Dakota County, all sponsoring organizations and their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage arising out of or in conjunction with application to or participation in the LAF, which is not responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors or guests while within space designated for exhibits. Further, Applicant understands that storage of art is at his/her own risk without exception or limitation.
3. Applicant agrees that images submitted for jury are representative of work to be exhibited and that the LAF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to advise Applicant of any work that does not meet the standards set forth, and Applicant agrees that such work will be immediately removed upon request by LAF officials. Failure to remove such work or to abide by other rules set forth may result in Applicant’s removal from the LAF and/or Applicant being prohibited from future participation.
4. Applicant further agrees that in consideration for participating in the LAF, s/he hereby waives and releases the LAF, its officers, director and agents from any and all liability stemming from any use of the Artist’s work in any of the ways above.
